Who are we?

Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort is the ideal place for scuba diving, dive courses or a relaxing beach holiday with lots of sun and relaxation at affordable rates. Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort is set within its own private and secluded complex, and the resorts’ location was specifically chosen for its expansive 200 meter stretch of beautiful, golden sand beach frontage with commanding views of the world-famous dive sites of nearby Apo Island and the serene Siquijor Island.

Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort is located close to  Dauin, one of the few ecological towns in the Philippines, where you still find fresh air and peacefulness. Yet the resort is only a 20 minutes ride from Dumaguete, a busy university town on Oriental Negros.

Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort is one of the largest beach and dive resorts on the coast, due to its spacious 10.000 square meter private tropical garden. However, we only accommodate up to 30 guests and can therefore guarantee a warm and personal atmosphere that will make you enjoy an exclusive beach holiday with friendly service. These factors alone should positively make Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort the preferred choice for your next dive and beach holiday in paradise.

And even though we only opened in 2005, we have already had the pleasure of welcoming many guests who visited us for the second time; "MABUHAY"!

 

Our bungalows

All the rooms of Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort are designed according to western standards and fully furnished with beautiful ‘rattan’ furniture. The rooms include climate controlled air conditioning, a fully stocked refrigerated mini bar, private safe for your valuables and full en-suite shower facilities. Several rooms have the option to be extended with an additional room to accommodate 2 further guests. All rooms are serviced daily. Four beach front rooms are positioned directly on the beach and have fantastic sea views of both Apo Island and Siquijor Island. The remaining rooms are set back from the large pool with its picturesque water features and all have sea view from their private terrace.
 

 

Our Pool

Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort actually has two pools. The biggest pool has several depth levels and is easily accessible. The deep end of the pool is optimally designed for scuba diving courses. Wide sun beds with comfortable mattresses invite you to relax on the terraces beside the pool (large bathing towels can be rented).

The second pool is connected to our beautiful waterfall, where water is cascading down over several big boulders. Especially children enjoy this pool due to its shallow depth and adventurous rock formations; however, it is equally appreciated by adults when taking a sundowner chilling down while sitting in the warm water.
 

 

The Restaurant

The restaurant  is located directly on our golden sandy beach and was designed to be open and airy, allowing a constant and welcoming cooling breeze to pass through. Particularly during sunrise and sunset, views from the restaurant are stunning; the sea is at its calmest and the unimpeded views of Apo Island and Siquijor Island are spectacular. The soothing sounds of the waves brushing on the sandy beach just add to making your dining experience truly memorable.

The restaurant offers a complete range of international and local cuisine. Amontillado Beach & Dive resort is already famous for its excellent cuisine and offers unrivalled value for money.
 

 

Our dive shop

Amontillado Beach & Dive Resort has its own international dive shop (recently elected as one of the Top 100 dive shops in the world!!*)and offers PADI courses by accredited PADI instructors and guided tours to dive sites at Dauin, Dumaguete,  Liloan, Sumilon, Apo Island and Siquijor.  The management of the resort are all enthusiastic divers and instructors, so you can rest assure that we are completely 'diver-friendly'

Divers who do not own their own equipment or simple do not wish to carry the extra weight on their journey, will appreciate our stock of high quality rental equipment. All equipment is regularly serviced and in excellent condition. Most equipment is new and of reputed brands such as Mares.

On all dives to the spectacular dive sites of Dauin, Apo island, Siquijor, Sumilon and Liloan you will be guided by experienced multi-lingual PADI Divemasters.

We offer 2-4 dives per day, all dependent on your requirements and availability. Since most dive site are close by, we normally return between the dives. Dive groups are normally not bigger than 6 divers; and also here we adhere to the motto "Relax".
