Dive Rates
The following dive
rates are for pre-booked dives only and subject to local marine fees, where applicable. Prices for
dives include tank, weights, guide and transport along the Dauin coast.
The
prices for day trips include fuel surcharge, beach towel, water
and fruits. For coastal dives the minimum number of divers is 2, for
night dives 3 and for day trips 4 divers.
For one diver only, a
private guiding supplement applies. Dive packages cannot be transferred
and are non-refundable.

Marine
Sanctuary Fees
We are
very lucky to be able to dive in numerous sanctuaries in our area. Our
municipality is very eco-friendly and already more than 25 years ago
established some of the first marine sanctuaries. This was Apo Island.
By now the coral reefs and fish stock at Apo Island have recovered
dramatically in such a degree that Apo Island now ranks amongst the best
dive spots in the world. The municipality has committed itself to extend
this success to numerous other sites along the coast. Fishing and night
diving is therefore not allowed inside the sanctuaries. Divers have to
be careful, follow some rules and pay marine fees to the municipality.
The collected money is used to maintain the sanctuaries in proper
condition and create alternative livelihoods for fishermen. In fact,
beginning 2006 the Mayor of Dauin was rewarded by President Macapagal
Arroyo for his outstanding efforts to protect marine life, resulting in
extremely healthy sanctuaries.
Around
Apo Island it is not allowed to wear gloves. In the Sanctuary of Apo
Island a maximum of 15 divers per day are allowed. It can therefore not
always be guaranteed to dive at this spot. However, there are at least
10 additional superb dive sites round the island where there are no such
restrictions.
The
sanctuary fees are not included in the diving rates and dive packages
and are subject to change without prior notice based on municipality
